Elon Musk – Where is he headed?

Elon Musk, as per usual, has been making headlines lately. We like to follow Musk as he is a great innovator and a very interesting example of amazing technology in action. We’ve seen a lot in the news lately though that has us scratching our heads a bit.  He is a trailblazer –I’ll definitely give him that. But, is he spreading himself to thin?

Tesla Model 3 – Will Supply Meet Demand?

​It’s been over a week since Tesla Motors unveiled its $35,000 Model 3 electric car.  As of now, prospective owners have now put in orders for more than 325,000 cars.  This was a much larger response than even CEO Elon Musk and Tesla expected.  Musk sent out a tweet relaying that no one at Tesla thought the orders would be that high and that the response was two to four times higher than they expected it to be. This translates into a huge profit in sales –assuming supply can meet demand.

Not Your Parents' Family Car - The Model X Revealed

Now that the Model X has been fully revealed, we can say that Tesla has officially made the family car cool.  Of all the amazing new specs that make the Model X great, and there are a lot of them, the overall practicality of the car is brilliant.  You may or may not know that Elon Musk has small five children.  This car is a parent’s best friend.  Now I’m not saying that the appeal of the Model X is limited to buyers with families, I’m just saying that dad may not have to drive that minivan after all.  That is, if he has over $132,000 to spend on a new car.

Model X Unveiling

Tesla’s Model X Electric Crossover SUV will officially be unveiled on the night of September 29th at Tesla’s factory in Fremont, CA.  With invitations for the event now sent out to the press, it’s time for us to sit and speculate.  The Model X has been highly anticipated.  It is Tesla’s third car, Tesla’s first SUV, and it has a whole host of features new to the Tesla brand.

Tesla Model D Announcement and Backlash
Have you been following along with Tesla the last week or two? We took an opportunity last week: here to guess what Elon Musk had up his sleeve for the Tesla D Announcement last week. Turns out, the “D” was in fact a whole new car. On October 9th, Tesla founder and chief executive Elon Musk unveiled the dual engine chassis of the new Tesla 'D' model which is a faster and all-wheel-drive version of the Model S electric sedan at the Hawthorne Airport in Los Angeles, CA.

What to Expect from Tesla's D Announcement

Tomorrow, October 9th, Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk will be unveiling the D and something else. How do we know? Well he sent out a mysterious tweet Oct. 1 that said just that. What exactly does that mean? Well, we won’t know for sure until we hear it –but that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate! It’s widely assumed that the “D” to be unveiled is referring to the dual motors in an AWD Model S. The question remains: what else will be revealed? Also, were we correct about the dual motors? Or is the “D” something else?

2014: Top 3 Technology Trends Emerging in the Automotive Industry

We took a look back at the Consumer Electronics Show a few weeks ago,here, and reported the top products of the 2014 show. Putting out Media Fires - Elon Musk
Elon Musk should definitely be used to grabbing headlines by now. But with two fires in the past month, his cars are grabbing headlines for different reasons. Musk's stand on all this publicity? He's asking the public to use a little common sense and take a look at the statistics. Nearly 200,000 car fires take place in America yearly. So far, two have involved the big name of Tesla.

Hyperloop: Elon Musk Making Big Moves

Highly successful Tesla and SpaceX entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk took over the news yesterday when he unveiled his initial design plans for the Hyperloop. This new form of transportation being described is a superfast transport system that, traveling at 800 miles per hour, would use pillows of air shoot passengers in pods between San Fransisco and Los Angeles in just over 30 minutes. This system would also cost only fraction of the currently proposed high speed rail project.
