I have developed a series of articles for you to break down the steps involved in developing Custom Software Solutions.  Let me show you what it looks like inside the process of building these solutions and let me answer any questions you may have on the process, expectations, or end results.  The benefits here are limitless.  It’s important to be aware of what the steps are, to assess how a business consulting organization can help, and to launch a successful custom software application that’s right for your organization.

Does your organization have the skills necessary to design, develop, and support Custom Software Solutions? Are you sure? Do you and/or your organization have an awesome idea for a new custom software application, but you think that you might not have the internal resources to get the idea it off the ground? Does your organization have an internal IT staff; if so, do you think or do they believe that they can build this custom software application? Maybe your organization has some existing custom software application(s) already in the marketplace, but you just can’t (insert your current/existing issue here)? Then you might need the help of a business consulting organization that specializes in software development best practices and creating the right culture within your organization to launch and support a successful custom software application. If this were easy, then everyone would be successful at it…

Or what if you have already realized that you don’t have the internal resources to build it, or continue to do this yourself. Maybe you are considering having some custom software designed to help solve some problems or issues that you may be having. You might be wondering what the benefits are of custom software solutions for your business. Well, the answer to that is limitless. You see developing custom software solutions for your company can hold any number of benefits depending on what it is that you’d like to develop. Are you wondering what the process will look like if you do decide to meet with a software development business consultant?

Here are the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) steps involved in creating almost any custom software application/solution:

For this process we are going to assume that you have already looked at the marketplace and have determined that there is a need for custom software application that you or your organization has and idea for. You have researched your competition and you have talked with your customers about their needs/wants around this new idea. You have performed a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis on this strategic business initiative and you have successfully deemed it a worthy course of action for your organization. Right? If not stop here and be sure to explore those things first.
