Tesla is unveiling a little more information about their Gigafactory plans as they officially partner up with Panasonic for a Gigafactory Battery Facility.  This is huge news.  Basically Tesla will operate and maintain the Gigafactory while Panasonic will supply the machinery and tooling needed to produce the batteries.  They’re still keeping location of the Gigafactory a mystery.  Which, in my opinion, is to is to add drama to the situation since they said they’ll be relaying those details later this year.

From Winding Road:

“The Gigafactory is expected to yield enough batteries for 500,000 EVs per year, which should certainly help to expand Tesla’s market reach and ability to create different types of vehicles.”
