On social media! Sorry, I can’t help you with that application in day to day life… I’m here to document and share with you the good, the bad, and the ugly of my first attempts to market via social media advertising and contests. I’ll be back a few times a week to check in and let you know what I’m up to and how it’s working for me. I’m new to this, so feel free to struggle along with me, point out my mistakes, and give me some nice pointers.
I have a budget, I have a goal, and I have semi-solid (and hopefully brilliantly successful!) plans for paid advertising and marketing on Facebook, Twitter, and hopefully (eventually) other sites as well. Don’t rush me folks, I don’t want to trip out of the starting gates here. So far, I’ve used some free advertising credits, launched two weeks of Facebook advertising and about a week-ish of Twitter advertising (more on that later), and am currently planning a Facebook contest.
I’ll be back Monday for details on the results I’ve had so far with Twitter and Facebook paid advertising. My latest campaigns end later today. Meanwhile, I wanted to introduce my plans to you and open the floor up for suggestions and comments.
