After a few attempts at Facebook contests (both successes and failures), I figured it might be a nice change of pace to shift the focus onto Twitter contests for a bit.  I’m curious -who out there has actually started a Twitter contest?  The premise seems pretty simple: Choose a prize for followers to compete for, use a hashtag unique to you and your contest, use a hashtag that people will search for, and incorporate your handle for people to follow.

What different spin on Twitter contests have you made or seen around the Twittersphere?

I’m interested to see if people have more success running Twitter contests vs. Facebook contests.  Are they easier to run?  Harder to track?  Leave a comment with your experiences below!
