In order to run effective social media campaigns, you have to be able to run them from anywhere.  You may have a post that has to go out, notes on content that need to be added, or a nasty review that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. It can’t always wait until you get back to a computer.  Also, running an effective social media campaign shouldn’t mean that you have to be tied to your desk all day long.  Here are the top 3 social media management apps that I’ve found to be most useful over the last few years.

Hootsuite

Both at and away from the desk, Hootsuite has long been my go to social media management tool.  The app is no less beneficial.  It allows me to see all of my social media channels, hashtags I may be monitoring, engagements that are happening, etc.  This is happening in one central location, which makes checking in a breeze.  I have the same abilities as I would have sitting in front of my computer.  I can schedule posts, track conversations, and more.

Evernote

Evernote is such a useful app for several reasons.  One of the most important reasons is that it can sync to all my devices.  This means that regardless of if I’m on my phone, tablet, or laptop –I can access the information I need.  I can keep notes with myself and with team members, research info and photos for articles, conversations with team members, and more.

Facebook

Although the Facebook app only helps me manage one network, the Facebook app is by far one of my favorite for managing a social media channel.  I obviously have all of the same capabilities as if I were sitting on my computer –I can schedule posts, respond to messages and comments, share photos and graphics, and more.  Beyond that, I can post ads and boost posts.  This is a great tool to have on the go.  Not all networks make it as easy for users.

These three are the quick must-haves that I think every social media marketer should have.  If you don’t want to be tied to your computer, consider reaping the benefits of these management tools.  They make it possible to go on with business as usual no matter where you are.  This is key if you don’t want to miss a thing on any of your social media platforms.
